We launched an entertaining company mere months before a global pandemic shook the world and everyone was mandated to socially distance. Don’t worry, the irony of this is not lost on us!

We created Social Studies with the belief that humans were meant to gather around a table: for dinner, at a wedding, in honor of a special birthday. We are sociable creatures to our core who thrive on connection.

We weren’t surprised to see Zoom Parties surge into existence as we all retreated to our own homes. Even though we couldn’t physically be together, we found ways to show up for one another.

We created Social Studies with the belief that humans were meant to gather around a table: for dinner, at a wedding, in honor of a special birthday.

The holidays are here. The time of year we normally gather to hug, toast and laugh together. This year we adjusted to small, safe gatherings and FaceTime with grandparents.

We hope to help bring the focus back to your table this holiday. Sitting down to dinner is a ritual so lasting that it is practiced globally by every age, race and gender. It’s the cornerstone of connection and the foundation for life’s most special memories. In spite of a global pandemic, dinner continues to be the most ritualized part of our lives.

No matter how different your table looks this holiday season, we want to help you set it with a little extra love because … it’s the most wonderful time of the year. Happy holidays to all! Keep smiling as 2021 is just around the corner.
